The ratio of expression of angiotensin receptors type 1 (AT1), type 2 (AT2) mRNA in local endometriosis lesions and eutopic endometrium

Objective: The rennin–angiotensin system (RAS) is activation cascade that plays a key role in the regulation of blood pressure and the hydro-electrolytic balance. Angiotensin II acts mainly through AT1 receptors and AT2 receptors have opposite functions. Angiotensin II in endometrial stromal cells was mediated via AT1 receptor. We already reported the expression of AT1, AT2 receptors mRNA in local endometriosis lesions at 28th JSIR congress. We investigated into the ratio of expression of AT1, AT2 receptors in local lesions of endometriosis and eutopic endometrium.
