Post-mortem Imaging: An Update

Indeed, if autopsy represents the sole reliable method of determining the definitive cause of death, imaging may provide an efficient guide to supplement conventional autopsy. This is particularly true because of several techniques that are currently available, such as post-mortem computed tomography (PMCT), multiphase post-mortem computed tomography angiography (PMCTA), and post-mortem magnetic resonance imaging (PMMRI). In this review we explore the newer imaging techniques in forensic radiology.
