Quaternary ammonium silane-based antibacterial and anti-proteolytic cavity cleanser

Although considerable advancements have been achieved in dentin bonding over the past decade, the durability of tooth-colored plastic fillings remains a clinically formidable issue that has not been satisfactorily addressed. There are two major challenges in achieving durable resin –dentin bonds. Secondary caries has been thought to be one of the primary challenges [1]. The minimal intervention approach is currently recommended for the treatment of deep carious lesions, to preserve tooth structure and avoid damage to the dental pulp complex [2,3].
