Retroclival Arachnoid Cysts: Case Series, Literature Review, and a New Classification Proposal
The retroclival region is among the rarest locations for an arachnoid cyst (AC), with only a few published case reports. There is no accepted classification system for these rare cysts. Such a classification system will solve the nomenclature problem and may result in an easier and more systematic management. In this article, databases and literature on retroclival ACs (RACs) are reviewed and analyzed and a classification system is proposed.
