Hepatotoxicity after desflurane anesthesia in a morbidly obese patient
Postoperative hepatotoxicity has been reported after exposure to halothane, but rarely after the use of subsequent generations of halogenated anesthetics, including enflurane, isoflurane, sevoflurane, and desflurane [1]. To our knowledge, hepatotoxicity has not been previously reported in morbidly obese patients receiving desflurane anesthesia. The patient provided written consent for the publication of this report.
