Clinical experiences of pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block for hip surgery

Hip surgery is a common orthopedic surgery among the elderly. Effective perioperative pain management can minimize the need for opioids in addition to improving health-related quality of life. To relief the pain around the hip capsule is the most important analgesic for hip surgery. First published in 2018, the Pericapsular Nerve Group (PENG) block can block both femoral and obturator nerves [1]. Herein, we report two successful cases of PENG block for hip surgery.
