Associations between dietary inflammatory index and incidence of breast and prostate cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Medicine's understanding of the etiology of breast and prostate cancer (BPC) has been a complex journey that involves numerous theories of causal explanations. Documents from ancient Greece and Egypt suggest that earlier scientists were aware of these cancers [1]. Attempts were made to find causes as evidenced by written records and illustrations dating back to antiquity [2]. According to Cancer Today IARC, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer and the most common cancer in women from both more and less economically developed regions.
