Surgical anatomy of rats for the training of microvascular anastomosis
Microvascular anastomosis is an essential procedure in neurosurgery, but the opportunity to perform the surgery has gradually decreased for neurosurgeons. Therefore, training is necessary for obtaining and maintaining the skills required for the procedure. Here, we describe the detailed anatomy of the cervical and femoral regions in rats and discuss the advantages for practicing microvascular anastomosis.
