Factors that Predict an Intern's First ABSITE Score are Known by September
Previous studies offer conflicting relevance of a variety of factors to predict resident performance on the The American Board of Surgery In-Training Exam (ABSITE). With numerous stellar applicants scoring poorly on their first ABSITE, we sought to identify key factors that might allow us to tailor pre-emptive study efforts in the fall and early winter to enhance scores.
