Beaumont Health System Launches Multiple Urgent Care Centers in Metro Detroit

I have also commented how hospital ER bills can mushroom by the addition of facility and out-of-network fees, often a surprise to patients (see:CMS Requires Hospitals to Post Prices for Medicare Patients; Useful Step?). As a result, walk-ins and urgent care centers are becoming very important as part of the first tier of healthcare delivery. Some health systems are beginning to fight back. A recent article discussed howBeaumont Health plans to open dozens of urgent care centers in the metro Detroit (see:Beaumont to invest $30M in dozens of urgent care centers). Below is an excerpt from the article:Beaumont Health said...that it plans to invest about $30 million in urgent care centers in Metro Detroit by the end of 2019.
