P122 * Relationship between retinal microvascular complications in metabolic syndrome (MS) and its association with serum uric acid level
Conclusion:
It is concluded that there is a direct association of MS components with retinal microvascular complications. There was synergistic effect of MS on retinal microvascular changes beyond its individual components. Incidence of retinopathy was higher in patients with hyperuricemia than normouricemic patients.
