Eating disorders (EDs) are severe, chronic, mental health disorders that are characterized by abnormal eating, dysfunctional relationships with food, and a preoccupation with body weight and shape [1]. Among these disorders, anorexia nervosa (AN) is a serious psychiatric illness that is characterized by an inability to maintain an adequate, healthy body weight and bulimia nervosa (BN) by recurrent episodes of binge eating in combination with some form of unhealthy compensatory behavior [1].
