Gaming Strategies in Nursing Education

The purpose of this study was to explore if the kahoot.it game was associated with improved final exam scores for nursing students. Ninety-eight senior nursing students were enrolled in the required course. The research group (N = 47) played Kahoot.it in four 20-minute sessions. The control group (N = 51) had no games. All students had the same final examination at the end of the semester. Independent t-tests showed that the research group had higher test scores (t = 2.90, p = .005) than the control group.
