Libraries, community-based organizations, schools, health care providers, and other organizations that provide health programming or services within PA, NY, NJ or DE are eligible to apply. Applications are due October 5, 2018, and award funds must be spent by April 30, 2019. Details. National Network of Libraries of Medicine News MAR offices will be closed on Monday, September 3 for Labor Day. New MAR Staff: As of August 27, Michael Balkenhol is MAR’s new Health Programming Coordinator. In this re-imagined position, Michael has primary responsibility for creating and sharing health information “programs in a box” for K-12, public library and community based organizations. Michael is also the Project Lead for the National Initiative with the Collaborative Summer Library Program. He is MAR’s liaison to K-12 audiences and works with Veronica Milliner on outreach to public libraries. Michael is coming to us after a decade at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, where he was a children’s and teen librarian.
