Teaching module for improving oncology nurses' knowledge and self-confidence about central line catheters caring, complications, and application: A pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design

The aim of the present study was to assess the effectiveness of implementing an educational module based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines on the nurses' knowledge and self-confidence regarding central line catheters (CVCs) caring, complications, and application. A pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design was used. A sample of 100 oncology nurses from oncology units participated in two groups, experimental group (N  = 50) and control group (N = 50). The participants completed knowledge test and self-confidence scale before and after the educational program.
