Shifting Food Systems: Increasing Well-being through Plant-Based Approaches

This interdisciplinary, critical assessment examines alternative approaches to replace adverse outcomes arising from diets high in fat, salt, sugar, and processed foods including meat and dairy. This hypothesis  paper includes a study of ways to prevent or mitigate risks to public health, environmental stability, or animal well-being. Increasing global warming, greenhouse gas emissions, and climate change are closely connected with dietary choices1. “Civilisation as we know it can't withstand the stress es of continuing with business as usual”2.
