QT interval: Bazett's Correction corrected

The duration of ventricular repolarization is clinically important and has been approximated for many years on the ECG by the measurement of the QT interval. But the QT interval is influenced by the heart rate and to determine if a given QT interval is normal, correction by the duration of the R-R interval is necessary. Enter the Bazett Correction that divides the measured QT by the square root of the R-R interval. Although this correction has been in use for more than 50  years, it is not perfect.
