Regarding "Cadmium body burden, hypertension, and changes in blood pressure over time: results from a prospective cohort study in American Indians"

I read the study by Oliver-Williams et al. with interest.1 The authors conducted a prospective study to assess the association between baseline urinary cadmium and longitudinal changes in blood pressure of American Indian. A one-unit increase in log-transformed urinary cadmium to creatinine ratio was significantly associated with 10% greater hypertension risk with 95% confidence interval of 1.01-1.20. I have some concerns with this study.
