Axillary clearance following positive sentinel lymph node biopsy in symptomatic breast cancers: Time for a more selective approach?

Aim: Performing axillary nodal clearance (ANC) in all patients with positive sentinel node biopsy (SNB) may lead to overtreatment and unnecessary morbidity. We sought to assess our practice of ANCs following SNBs in symptomatic patients.
