Diagnostic value of the ‘soccer ball’ morphology in the marfan aortic root

Aim: The aneurysmal root in Marfan Syndrome (MFS) is typically ‘soccer ball’ shaped, in contrast to the ‘rugby ball’ seen with other aetiology. We sought to evaluate the predictive accuracy of this morphologic description.
