Shot through the heart! (But not to blame...)

Aim: Intracardiac foreign body (FB) impalement is rare. Sequelae depend on the FB intrathoracic trajectory and if survivable, presentation varies. The scarcity of such incidents precludes standardised protocol therefore operative intervention, which is invariably required, must be individualised.
