An unusual case of a pancreaticoduodenectomy for retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma of the duodenum presenting as iron deficiency anaemia

Introduction: Primary duodenal malignancies are uncommon and need to be differentiated from tumors arising from surrounding organs like pancreas, bile duct and ampulla. Adenocarcinoma is the most frequently occurring duodenal tumor, however lymphoma, leiomyosarcoma and neuroendocrine tumors have also been reported.
