Double trouble: Acute appendicitis in a case of duplex appendix

In June 2017, a gentleman presented with right iliac fossa pain to the surgical admissions unit at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, UK. What began as a seemingly usual admission of acute appendicitis became an intriguing case as time progressed.
