Case report: A traumatic superficial temporal artery pseudo-aneurysm- A rare complication following facial trauma

A 55-year-old male was referred to the maxillofacial department with a swelling on his right forehead and weakness of temporal branch of facial nerve. Seventeen days prior, he had an alcohol-induced mechanical fall whilst crossing a road and sustained a small laceration on his right lateral brow that was uneventfully sutured under local anaesthesia. There were no associated neurological signs. A week later, a golf-ball sized non-pulsatile fluctuant swelling had evolved on the right side of his forehead.
