P 085 - Walk to run transition in children with cerebral palsy

Walking patterns and their strategies are already well known in children with cerebral palsy (CP) [1]. On the other hand, literature about walk to run transitions as well as running is still limited [2]. These are considered higher mobility skills and allow a greater participation of the children in their environment as well as in school and recreational playground activities. A better understanding about transitions between walking and running may give new important advices for the physical rehabilitation, whose ultimate purpose is to increase the participation in the social life [3].
