The eraser challenge — Self-inflicted friction injuries in a school child

Recent years have witnessed increasing numbers of potentially harmful activities, promoted as “challenges” among school-age children. These activities, spread by word-of-mouth and social networks, may disseminate widely and rapidly. Children present a group especially vulnerable to new trends since they may lack understanding of the consequences of their behaviour.
