NCLEX-RN ® in every laboratory and simulation: Technology can help

To focus on clients in all settings, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) divides the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN ®) into eight main categories and subcategories called the Client Needs (see Table 1). Related content in each category is based on the practice of a newly licensed generalist nurse, and it is why the NCLEX-RN® Client Needs serve as an excellent framework for guiding the development, implementatio n, and assessment of learning in the nursing laboratory and simulation experiences.
