“ Wash and Learn ” Promoting Reading at Laundromats

The Sudsy’s learning center is part of Libraries Without Borders’ national “Wash and Learn” program, which “transforms laundromats into informal learning spaces.”  Started in New York City in 2015, the program now has about 12 centers across seven states, said Adam Echelman, a Libraries Without Borders representative. Libraries Without Borders partnered with the Coin Laundry Association to help identify laundromats that would be best suited for the programs. Read more about this program in Pittsburgh PA.
