Increased arterial stiffness in rheumatoid arthritis and Its relation to disease activity: A cross sectional study

ConclusionRA is associated with increased arterial stiffness, a well-recognized marker of cardiovascular risk. This is attributed to the inflammatory nature of the disease. It seems that the most important factors determining stiffness are patients' age and duration of illness.
