Response to “On the antiviral activity and developmental toxicity of 6-methylmercaptopurine (6-MMPr)” and “Acceleration with the brakes on?”

In response to the recent letters [1,2] that questioned the findings published by Carvalho et al., 2017 [3], we are thankful to the concerns raised by the authors. However, we respectfully disagree with their overall point of view.
