Ethanol Gas Sensor Based on γ-Fe2O3 Nanoparticles Working at Room Temperature with High Sensitivity

This study indicated that the γ-Fe2O3 phase could be a type of promising room-temperature gas sensing material for ethanol gas detection.Graphical AbstractIn the present work, γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were obtained by an annealing treatment. The gas-sensing experiments showed that the γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles displayed excellent high-performance sensing properties for the detection of ethanol gas at the optimum operating temperature (200 °C) and room temperature. This study indicates that γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles could be a type of promising gas sensing material for ethanol gas detection.
