Reality check: Can transplanting more renal dialysis patients buy us an MRI scanner?

A surgeon claimed, “transplanting more renal dialysis patients could buy us an MRI scanner a year.” With transplants costing £42,025 per procedure, a high-end MRI scanner reaching in excess of £1million, we decided to investigate for ourselves.
