Serum Concentration and mRNA Expression of Serum Amyloid A and Serum Amyloid A1 in Pregnant Mares and Their Fetuses after Experimental Induction of Placentitis

The objectives of this study were to evaluate maternal and fetal systemic concentration of SAA and mRNA expression of SAA and SAA1 in maternal liver, fetal liver, endometrium and chorioallantois in 5 pregnant mares with experimental placentitis and 4 matching controls.
