Sealants on deciduous or permanent teeth

The American Dental Association (ADA) recently issued a guideline suggesting that both primary and permanent molars should be sealed to prevent caries lesions or halt the progression of any that were found. However, no distinction was made between first and second molars, and premolars were omitted entirely. To  clarify the clinical performance of sealants in various types of teeth, current relevant randomized clinical studies were surveyed.
