The Epidemiology of Hepatitis C virus infection in African immigrants; bridging the gaps

We would like to follow up on our previous publications on the Epidemiology of Hepatitis C Virus in African immigrants Crossing to Europe from North and Sub-Saharan Africa [1]. This is to provide a better understanding of the status of HCV infection in immigrants and to identify the gaps needed to be fulfilled to understand the impact of HCV infection both at transient and hosting countries. The accurate data on the number of African immigrants in EU, the prevalence of HCV infections among them and the impact that they may have is lacking.
