First report of Candida auris infections from Saudi Arabia

Candida auris is an emerging multidrug resistant pathogen worldwide causing a variety of nosocomial infections and creating a major challenge for infection control and prevention teams [1,2]. C. auris infections have been reported in over 20 countries on five continents including Gulf States such as Kuwait, Oman, and UAE [1 –8]. To our knowledge, we report the first three cases of C. auris infections from Saudi Arabia.
