The Use of Dignity Therapy Beyond Terminal Illness: A Case Report
Dignity therapy (DT) is a brief psychotherapeutic approach designed to increase patient ´s sense of meaning and purpose and it has been primarily developed and studied for those near death, and has shown efficacy on several psychosocial outcomes.1–3 Dignity therapy offers patients the opportunity to talk about issues that matter most to them, to share moments that they feel were mos t important and meaningful, and to speak of things they would like to be remembered by.
