Limitations, Transparency, and Conclusions —Reply

In Reply We thank Bornemann-Cimenti and Szilagyi for their interest in our study on complications related to anesthesia duration in head and neck microvascular reconstructive surgery. The intent of the study was to see if anesthesia duration was at all related to complications in long microvascular reconstructive surgical procedures involving the head and neck. We postulated that longer duration of anesthesia might be correlated with an increased rate of complications in this particular type of surgery.
