Corynebacterium diphtheriae Infection: Two Case Reports and Literature Review
In this report, we describe two cases of C. diphtheriae infection. The first is a case of cutaneous diphtheria in a Malaysian woman caused by a toxigenic strain of C. diphtheriae. In the second case, a nontoxigenic C. diphtheriae strain was isolated from the blood of a fully vaccinated pediatric patient with underlying congenital heart disease.
