Brain gadolinium deposition, hyperintense MRI signals, and resonance contrast agents

The Personal View article by Gulani and colleagues [1] provides evidenced-based recommendations for the clinical diagnosis and radiologic investigations of gadolinium-based contrast agents (GBCAs) [1]. As a result, this excellent review article by Gulani et al. will lead to an increased physicians' awareness of these issues. These practical recommendations (which are supported and written by or on behalf of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine [1]) are based on published data and cover all aspects of diagnostic radiology, including recent regulatory specifications.
