Application of wireless remote electrocardiogram monitoring device in atrial fibrillation patients undergoing radiofrequency catheter ablation

Radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) has emerged as an important therapeutic approach for atrial fibrillation (AF) patients [1]. In patients undergoing RFCA, recurrent AF is common in the first 3  months after the procedure [2]; hence, patients are maintained on anticoagulant drugs during this period. Although most studies have defined successful RFCA as cessation of symptomatic arrhythmia episodes, several studies have shown that asymptomatic episodes of AF are common in patients even aft er RFCA [3].
