Main pancreatic duct involvement in IPMN without enhancing mural nodule: Low- risk of Malignancy in duct diameter of less than 10 mm and segmental involvement of dilatation: national wide multicenter study in Korea

Objectives Most studies reported that mural nodule (MN) of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) of the pancreas on CT or MRI was the most associated with malignant pathology. However, there is very little information regarding the malignancy risk of MD and mixed type IPMNs without enhancing MNs in the main pancreatic duct (MPD) and branch duct cyst on radiologic imaging. We attempted to identify clinical and morphologic features associated with low-risk subgroup of MD and mixed type IPMN.
