Novel pancreatic cancer susceptibility loci discovered through genome-wide association studies
Objectives Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified several regions convincingly or suggestively associated with pancreatic cancer risk. However, estimates of heritability suggest that a large number of loci remain to be discovered. To identify additional susceptibility loci, the PANcreatic Disease ReseArch (PANDoRA) consortium participated in additional GWAS, in collaboration with USA-based consortia, namely PanScan3 and PanC4.
