Intensity of symptoms and outcomes of acute pancreatitis, a preliminary analysis of the PROMISE study
Objectives Acute pancreatitis (AP) is a frequent disease. While 2 out of 3 patients have an uneventful course of disease, one third of them have local and/or systemic complications, which are associated to increased hospital stay, morbidity and mortality. Our aim was to study the relationship between symptoms perceived by patients and complications in patients with AP.
