The value of APACHE II in predicting severity, mortality and duration of hospital treatment in the Montenegrin population with Acute pancreatitis – Experience of the Clinical center of Montenegro

Objectives Acute pancreatitis (AP) has a broad clinical spectrum, from mild illness to multiple organ failure and consequential death. The APACHE II (Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation) is a severity-of-disease classification system.The aim of our study was to evaluate the predictive value of APACHE II scores in patients with AP in relation to the severity of the disease, the duration of hospital treatment and mortality.
