Explore the childhood onset pancreatitis with the support of APPLE (Analysis of Pediatric Pancreatitis) multicenter, observational, clinical trial
Objectives Despite the rising incidence of pediatric pancreatitis (PP) in the last decade, there is still lack of information concerning the management of childhood-onset pancreatitis. The Pediatric Session of the Hungarian Pancreatic Study Group has initiated a prospective international observational clinical trial (APPLE - Analysis of Pediatric Pancreatitis) to understand the genetic factors of all forms of pancreatitis occurred under 18 years of age (APPLE-R), and to collect a critical mass of clinical data and biomedical research samples from children suffering from PP (APPLE-P).
