The additive value of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) fine needle aspiration (FNA) cytology in differential diagnosis of pancreatic cystic lesions (PCL) in a tertiary-care centre

Objectives Pancreatic cystic lesions (PCL) have variables potential of malignancy. Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a diagnostic tool, but EUS-fine needle aspiration (FNA) role is still debated in PCL differentiation. Cytological analysis often is non diagnostic, obtaining low cellularity and a low sensitivity (30%).
