Usefullness and complication of needle knife fistulotomy for rescue therapy

Objectives Needle knife fistulotomy (KNF) is a technique used during endoscopic retrograde chlangiopancreatography (ERCP) to facilitate access. Double-guidewire technique is also useful method for difficult cannulation, but it increase post-ERCP-pancreatitis. We aimed to evaluate the success rate and complications of NKF after standard cannulation compared with that of NKF after guidewire technique.
