The actual incidence of symptoms due to pancreatic cystic neoplasms: Are we overestimating a major indication for surgery? A prospective propensity matched cohort analysis
Objectives The prevalence of symptoms in pancreatic cystic neoplasms (PCNs) is mainly based on retrospective surgical series with consequent overestimation and uncertainty of their role in the decision-making. Aim of this study is to describe the actual prevalence of symptoms in PCNs without indication for surgery compared to a control group without PCNs.
