Progression of pancreatic branch duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm associates with cyst size

Objectives Most guidelines for managing patients with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) vary considering proposed surveillance intervals and durations, usually determined based on expert opinions rather than substantial evidence. Studies on the progression and optimal surveillance intervals of branch duct IPMNs (BD-IPMN) are limited. Thus, we evaluated the progression of BD-IPMN at a single center and determined the optimal follow-up intervals and duration.
